Eagles Recommendations

The quintessential 1970s Southern California band, the Eagles started with a country-rock sound, a few Carlos Castaneda paperbacks, and some magic mushrooms, and wound up with some songs about takin' it easy and sleeping in the desert "with a billion stars all around." It didn't take long for their vision to turn dark, however, and soon they were chronicling--as well as living--the decade's excesses. Hotel California is their masterpiece, but it's not all the Eagles had to offer.
